Thomas Piggott - BW

About

Thomas is a public health and family doctor completing his PhD in health research methods at McMaster University. He completed his MSc in Public Health Economics at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

He’s passionate about equity, evidence, and economics in many parts of public health.

He is currently involved in research on essential medicines, public health guideline development (GRADE), AI (also see: Blog Series), public health system structure and governance, public health education and other public health topics in Canada and globally.

He is the co-editor of the book Under-Served: Health Determinants of Indigenous, Inner-City, and Migrant Populations in Canada available from Canadian Scholars Press.

In 2018 he worked as a field doctor with Médecins Sans Frontières in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
